Membership options
Individual Membership
The UNKLESA individual membership fee structure is as follows:
2024 Membership
Join or renew between January 1 - March 31, 2024. You may renew or join after this date but existing members who do not renew their membership by this deadline will be removed from the UNKLESA mailing list and will no longer have access to benefits, resources, and participation in our members-only events. The annual membership fee is KSh 3,500 (approximately US$25). New members who join from September 1st don’t need to pay for the remaining 4 months before the membership year ends.
How to renew or activate your membership for 2024:
Kindly fill out the form below, submit the requested information, and pay your membership fee via M-pesa or bank transfer.
Submit a picture of your UN Ground pass (if you have one) via email.
New UN staff spouses/partners will then receive an electronic welcome email from UNKLESA.
If you are looking for a job, kindly fill out the form in the Career Opportunities section of the welcome email. Please note that we do not interfere in any way with the hiring process and we cannot guarantee that you will find employment.
Agency Membership
Spouses of UN staff members who work for UNEP, UNICEF Kenya, UNICEF ESARO, UNICEF Somalia & UNON do not need to pay as their annual fee for 2024 is paid on their behalf by these agencies.

Important Information
There is no difference in benefits between the individual membership and the agency membership.
Kindly also note that due to security regulations, a UN grounds pass is needed to access the compound. Gaining access to the compound for activities (including visiting the UNKLESA office, trainings, coffee mornings, etc) is the individual responsibility of members.
