The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) was established in 2005 by the UN General Assembly and is responsible for providing leadership, operational support and oversight of the security management system, ensuring the maximum security for staff and eligible dependants as well as enabling the safest and most efficient conduct of the programmes and activities of the United Nations System.  This briefing is to provide UNKLESA Members with important safety and security information to support a successful integration into Nairobi.
